How browser saving, optional analytics and contact information work.
The essentials
- You can browse without an account. We do not take bookings or payments, or offer a newsletter or public contact form.
- Saved guides and itineraries are stored in your browser.
- Google Analytics is optional and starts only after you choose Allow analytics. No thanks leaves it off.
Saved guides, plans and shared links
Saving a guide or itinerary stores it in this browser, including any saved plan notes and checked items. The save feature does not upload these to Visit HB or sync them to another device. Remove saved guides individually, use the planner’s clear-saved control, or clear this site’s browser data.
Shared itinerary links include trip choices and day order, but exclude notes and checked items. Guide searches and event filters can also appear in a page address. Anyone you send a link to can see its included choices. Requested addresses may appear in hosting records.
Your analytics choice
With permission, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which guides and tools are useful. Before permission, we do not load the Google tag or send analytics requests. Your choice is saved in this browser and can be changed here: .
What optional analytics records
Analytics may receive the page address and title, referring page, browser and device information, approximate location, interaction events, consent signals and a randomly generated browser identifier. Our interaction events do not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, booking details, saved plan notes or raw guide-search text. The guide-search query parameter is configured for redaction in Google Analytics.
Google may process information outside Australia. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. Event and user data retention is configured for 14 months without resetting on return visits. Read Google’s explanation of information from partner sites.
Email and technical records
If you email hello@visithb.com.au, we receive your address, message and anything you include so we can answer your enquiry or correction. Please do not send payment details, identity documents, health information or booking passwords.
Our hosting and security provider may process IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and security events to deliver and protect the site. We use these records for operation, fault diagnosis, misuse investigations and lawful obligations.
Providers, retention and your rights
Hosting, security, email and optional analytics providers may process information outside Australia. We do not sell contact-email or analytics information. Records should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, disputes, security or legal obligations.
To ask about information held through direct contact, request a correction or make a privacy complaint, email hello@visithb.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information.
External websites have their own privacy practices. Following a link sends a request to that provider. We will update this policy before introducing new advertising, affiliate tracking or email signup features. Nothing here overrides rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
