Stranded marine wildlife
For a sick, injured or dead turtle, dolphin, dugong, seal or whale, use the QWildlife app or call 1300 130 372 and press option 1. Keep your distance, keep children and dogs away, record the location and follow the responder’s instructions.
Prepare before K’gari, marine or remote travel
- Save confirmations, pickup points and emergency contacts offline.
- Tell someone the route and expected return when travelling independently.
- Carry medication, water, sun protection and any required mobility or communication equipment.
- Check warnings, tides, roads, park alerts and the operator’s final message.
- Do not rely on mobile coverage as the only communication plan.
