Where to stay

Urangan is the logical base for marina and whale activity, but choose pier-side or harbour-side according to the current program and cruise desk. Marina-side properties reduce early-tour transfer; Torquay/Scarness may offer more dinner choice with a drive.

The specific weekend justifies booking family apartments, marina rooms and pet-approved stock earlier. Compare live rates and cancellation; do not accept a non-refundable room solely because a festival is scheduled.

Combining the festival with a whale cruise
